The idea? Simple. Downtime Check started with a tool often used behind the scenes—checking uptime for personal and business sites, not just big names like Google or Facebook. Built from the ground up, it’s a solo gig blending old-school HTML/CSS know-how with a crash course in Bootstrap and Pinegrow. With a little AI nudge, a domain was snagged, a logo born, and hosting sorted on Netlify—keeping it off the usual server for a clean slate. The goal wasn’t to dominate the “website down” search game (competition’s brutal!), but to take on a fun fight and see where it leads.
What’s next? Downtime Check aims to grow—tweaking the tool, testing AdSense and affiliates for the first time, and maybe even rolling out more ideas down the line.
